Ok...I know you know who this gal is...

It's one of my besties Sheaffer who is over at Pinterest Told Me To.  But do you know who this is???...

This is my new friend Mel who I officially ADORE!  She lives over at The Larson Lingo (another fabulous blog). 

The three of us have become quite the little click.  Even though Mel lives in California and Sheaffer and I are in Texas...we have formed a friendship and talk all things mom, shopping, food, travel and of course Bachelor on a daily basis.  So, what did the new Three Amigos decide to do...we decided to start hosting a once a month linky party celebrating friendship, Pinterest and trying to make the most of your wardrobe this next year (without having to spend a ton of money at the stores).  Here's the scoop on how you can participate too!

Use Pinterest to inspire your outfits

Every 1st of the month, we will have a linky party for you to link up your outfits from the past month.

You can link up 1 outfit or 30 outfits, however many you did.....Totally up to you!!!

Doesn't matter who you link to, it will show up on all of them!

We're excited to make better use of clothes we already have in our closets and wear them in new combinations that we might not have thought to put together.

February Pin-spired!

Today's the day, we all get Pin-spired!  Sheaffer, Mel and I are showing you how we took images from Pinterest and made them our own out of things we already had in our closets.  (I know, I know, I know, Sheaffer does this every day...but she wanted her friends to join her once a month to do it too!).  

My style?  It's pretty simple.  I like short shorts, tall wedges, lots of bangles, tanks, beachy hair, and the brightest colors you can find.  I'm also a pro at mixing prints...I take all of my style cues from Punky Brewster.  Hang around me long enough and I promise, you'll be mixing and matching more than just food!

My Pinterest inspiration #1...grey and yellow.

I've been wanting to wear my bright yellow skinny jeans all winter but thought I should tone things down a bit with a little grey and black (notice the striped shirt and leopard scarf...mix and match those prints ladies!).

Now, the yellow skinnys don't look so spring...they were perfect for a winter day.

I live for arm candy.  My summery bracelet was tame against the black and grey stripe.

My Pinterest inspiration #2: plaid and stripes (I love them together!)

I have a stripe tank peeking out from under the plaid shirt.

I love boyfriend jeans!

A girl can't leave home without her wedges :)

March Pin-spired!

Mel, Sheaffer and I are back today getting Pin-spired with our wardrobe!  This month has been crazy for me with the move but I still had time to mix and match my wardrobe to create an outfit inspired by Pinterest.

My first inspiration this month...

...stripes and polka dots.  Together.  How did I do it?

Well...

I paired my purple polka dotted pants with a striped tee.

I think it worked, don't you?  Since the polka dots are tiny and the pants are two shades of purple (instead of contrasting colors), I think they paired nicely together.  The pants were almost a neutral...in a purple polka dot kind of way.

April Pin-spired!

It's time to Get Pin-spired!  Sheaffer, Mel and I are back at it again...recreating outfits off of Pinterest out of our own closets.  In case you've missed it, check out our February and March recreations as well.

This month, I decided to recreate one of my style icons looks...she's all over TV, she's all over Pinterest and she's all over my heart...I adore me some Courtney Kerr (and I think she kind of likes me too!).  This is me doing Courtney...and trust me, that's a hard act to follow!

Jewel tones are my favorite.

And Courtney is nothing if not a girl who wears leopard.  Leopard booties are somehow just a natural fit with the jewel tones.

Well, I  mixed polka dots and stripes last month, so I decided to play off of her military inspired outerwear and  navy & white this time.

I love my white watch against the green.

May Pin-spired

It's already May people!  How did that happen so fast?!?!  Today, as always, Sheaffer, Mel and I are hosting a Linky Party to get everyone Pin-spired.  (You know...take an inspiration from Pinterest and recreate the outfit using things from your own closet.)  If you missed me last month, click here to find out how I got Pin-spired in April.

Here's the thing...I waited all month for warm weather so that I could style some outfits with shorts...but guess what?  It's been cold here in Dallas!  In my 31 years, I don't remember a spring that has been this chilly.  I'm not complaining...we have probably 100 days of over 100 degrees in our near future, so I am absorbing as much cool air as I can...but...tomorrow, May 2, the high in my area is 59 degrees!  In May!  That is UNBELIEVABLE!

Needless to say...I don't have a summery outfit today...but I do have an outfit that has the colors of summer and spring with a little warmth for the chilly days.

My inspiration photo...navy and white stripe shirt with bright skinny jeans.

And what I pulled out of my closet.  

Not bad, right?  It kept me warm while also looking like spring and not drab winter.

And guess what?!  Both are on sale...

And even though it was chilly, I'm absolutely so obsessed with these wedges, that I wore them anyway.  They are the most comfortable wedges ever made.  Period.  They're fabulous!  (And yes, my toes are painted...I had someone comment last month that they weren't.  I wear bold colors on my fingers and neutral shades on my toes.  This is OPI's Cosmo-Not Tonight-Honey.)  

These are the putty wedges...but they come in several other colors as well.  You must get you a pair (or two!).

Next month will be June!  Surely, I will be wearing shorts, right?
